Hardwood Floor RefinishingWhy Us
We started as a hardwood flooring business, and we still install and refinish floors today, so one licensed contractor can build the house and finish its floors. We hold Louisiana residential contractor license 884790, and we are insured.

In the Area
Before you build or add on in Central, you can ask the city floodplain office for its free Floodzone Determination Letter for the property. It shows the flood zone, the height a new floor must clear, and how deep the 2016 flood got there. Those numbers set how high the floor sits, and with it the cost of the slab or piers.

Questions
We offer custom home building, roofing, home additions, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, hardwood floor refinishing, flooring installation, window replacement, house painting, and demolition and land grading.
The city is a Class 5 community in FEMA's Community Rating System, which gives residents and businesses a 25% discount on flood insurance premiums. The city improved from Class 7, worth 15%, and the larger discount took effect on October 1, 2025. Count that discount in the yearly cost of owning a new home or addition here.
In Central, the enclosed area under an elevated home is limited to parking, storage, and the way into the house, and the city enforces that limit with a compliance agreement and yearly inspections. Living space has to go above the required floor height. Plan any extra rooms upstairs rather than underneath.
The Comite River gauge near Joor Road crested at a record 34.22 feet on August 14, 2016, more than 6 feet above major flood stage. The previous record was 30.99 feet, from June 2001. On a lot near the Comite, check the city's flood letter for how deep the 2016 flood got there before you set the floor height.
Every owner must keep the ditch beside their lot free of grass and debris. Inside city limits, the city maintains the roadside ditches and culverts along city streets, while the parish handles drainage along parish roads and the state handles highways like Hooper Road. Clear yours before any land grading starts.
