Hardwood Floor RefinishingWhy Us
We started as a hardwood flooring business, and we still install and refinish floors today, so one licensed contractor can build the house and finish its floors. We hold Louisiana residential contractor license 884790, and we are insured.

In the Area
In Gonzales, an addition, rebuild, or remodel that costs 50% or more of the house's market value has to meet the same rules as a new building, which means sitting above the base flood elevation on the city's flood map. Repairs after storm or flood damage count toward the same 50% line. For an older home in a flood zone, compare the work's cost with the house's value before you settle on how big to go.

Questions
We offer custom home building, roofing, home additions, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, hardwood floor refinishing, flooring installation, window replacement, house painting, and demolition and land grading.
Builders working inside city limits need a city contractor's license, separate from the state license. It costs $150 at first and $100 a year to renew, and it has to be current when the permit is issued.
The Gonzales airport weather station logged a 65-knot gust, about 75 mph, during Hurricane Ida on August 29, 2021, and a 53-knot gust, about 61 mph, during Hurricane Francine on September 11, 2024. Any roof in town put on before August 2021 has already been through both storms, so it is worth having it looked over.
After Francine in 2024, the City of Gonzales said work on walls, plumbing, major roof repairs, and heating and cooling all needs a permit before rebuilding, and so does demolition. Work without one risks stop-work orders and fines. Even urgent storm repairs need the city's permit in hand first.
All development in the City of Gonzales requires a permit, and that includes filling land as well as building. Floodplain work without a permit is illegal. Make sure any dirt work is on the permit before the trucks arrive.
