Bathroom remodels with new showers, tubs, vanities, and tile that make the room easier to use.
Bathroom Remodeling
Kitchen remodels with new cabinets, countertops, and backsplashes that add room to cook and store.
Kitchen Remodeling
Hardwood floors sanded, repaired, and restained so worn boards look rich again without the cost of replacing them.
Hardwood Floor RefinishingWhy Us
We started as a hardwood flooring business, and we still install and refinish floors today, so one licensed contractor can build the house and finish its floors. We hold Louisiana residential contractor license 884790, and we are insured.

In the Area
Gramercy homes get no community discount on flood insurance, because the town is not rated in FEMA's Community Rating System, the program through which towns earn those discounts. Price flood insurance for the home before you buy a lot or plan a rebuild.

Questions
We offer custom home building, roofing, home additions, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, hardwood floor refinishing, flooring installation, window replacement, house painting, and demolition and land grading.
In unincorporated St. James Parish, which covers Grand Point and Paulina, all structures must be built at least 2 feet above the base flood elevation (the mapped flood height) or to 6.0 feet above mean sea level, whichever is higher. For the permit, the elevation certificate (the signed floor-height form) must also show the height of raised equipment like air conditioners and water heaters. Ask the parish for the lot's base flood elevation before you price the slab.
For Grand Point and Paulina, St. James Parish adds up the cost of repairs, reconstruction, and additions over at least ten years. Once that total reaches 50% of the home's market value, the work must meet the parish flood elevation rules. Plan the size and timing of each project with that running total in mind.
Hurricane Ida came ashore on August 29, 2021, and the Weather Service reported that most homes in the eastern half of St. James Parish suffered minor to moderate roof or other damage. Some older homes lost roofs or walls outright, and the whole parish lost power. When you buy an older home in town, ask how its roof came through Ida.
Inside town limits, the Town of Gramercy issues building permits, not St. James Parish. The parish's own notice sends homeowners in town to Gramercy for permits, while Grand Point and Paulina go through the parish. A roof replacement or a rebuild in town starts with the Town of Gramercy permit office.
